Making your voice heard
I'll gather feedback through conversations and anonymous surveys, ensuring everyone's opinions are represented — not just those who speak up the loudest.
Hi everyone! I'm Harmann, a first-year Chemical Engineering student standing to be your Academic Representative. I want every student to feel heard and supported throughout our first year.
Imperial is academically demanding. Representation means listening to concerns, raising them through the right channels and following up.
I'll gather feedback through conversations and anonymous surveys, ensuring everyone's opinions are represented — not just those who speak up the loudest.
Whether students are struggling with a module, lecture pacing or missing revision materials, I'll raise concerns with Department Representatives and academic staff and work towards practical solutions.
I'll provide regular updates on concerns raised, discussions with staff and progress made, so you know what happens after sharing your feedback.
As Charity Coordinator on my sixth-form Student Leadership Team, I worked with students and staff to organise fundraising events, including a charity football match and Culture Day.
By listening to students' suggestions and collaborating with my team, I learned how to turn ideas into action. I want to bring that same commitment to representing our year.
